Leonard Ortega
Dr. Leonardo Ramon Ortega was born in Caracas, Venezuela.
He has lived in the USA
since 1983. He is currently the Executive Director and CEO of the Health
Education Resource Organization (HERO). Dr. Ortega is a Health Care
Executive specializing in health care delivery system, public health,
infectious diseases, and international health. Extensive experience in
managing non for profit/non governmental organizations, health services, and
health programs, teaching, training, coordinating, evaluating, budgeting,
delivering health services, providing primary health care, and HIV/AIDS
services. Formal training in public health, hospital administration,
international health, and medicine. Dr. Ortega also serves has volunteer Board
of Directors in different national and local organization.
