About Our Place at the Table
To celebrate the Inauguration of President Obama, we are holding a special training, Our Place at the Table, on January 19 at the Hotel Monaco at 11:00 a.m., that will focus on how to work with the new administration.

Please note: Included with registration for the training are tickets to the AIDS Community Inauguration Reception being held the evening of January 19.

The reception is being sponsored by National AIDS Fund and the National Minority AIDS Council, along with national co-sponsors American Academy of HIV Medicine, CAEAR Coalition, CHAMP, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, HIV Medicine Association, MAC AIDS Fund, National AIDS Housing Coalition, National Association of People with AIDS, National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Southern AIDS Coalition, Title II Community AIDS National Network, and local community-based organization co-sponsors, including AIDS Alabama, Family Health Project, Harlem United, Iris House and Joseph’s House, to celebrate the Inauguration of President-Elect Obama and to honor the work of the HIV/AIDS community.

These are difficult financial times - and our reception will reflect that reality. Tickets are free to everyone who wishes to attend. We want the AIDS community to be part of this historic moment, but we also worry about the state of our economy. This is not a fundraiser; tickets are being provided free to Our Place at the Table attendees.

There will be a cash bar and limited food. We will keep things somber, but appropriate. Additional information about the reception is available here.

Inauguration will be held the following day, January 20.
