SNHC
The Supporting
Networks of HIV Care (SNHC) by Enhancing Primary Medical Care project is a
national technical assistance and capacity building project designed to
develop, improve, and expand comprehensive HIV primary medical care and
treatment service delivery in racial/ethnic minority communities severely
impacted by HIV/AIDS through providing technical assistance, intensive capacity
building, and regional meetings to primary medical care sites. Funded by the
Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau, the project is
led by the
CAEAR Foundation in partnership with the
Academy for
Educational Development , and the National Minority AIDS Council.
Technical Assistance and Training
The CAEAR
Foundation is the coordinator of Technical Assistance. The goal of the
technical assistance is to increase the capacity of primary medical care sites
through targeted onsite technical assistance tailored to the specific needs of
individual organizations.
Intensive Capacity Building
The
Academy for Educational Development is the coordinator of Intensive Capacity
Building. The goal of the
intensive capacity building is to increase the capacity of targeted primary medical
care sites and Ryan White CARE Act funded primary care sites severely impacted
by the 2005 hurricanes through intensive capacity building activities.
Regional
Meetings
The
National Minority AIDS Council is the coordinator of 2007 Regional Meetings.
The goal of the regional meetings is to increase the capacity of participants
from targeted primary medical care sites through regional meetings, web-based
trainings, and the awarding of Continuing Education Units.
