HIV Science Webinar: Getting Up-to-Date and Understanding the Big Picture

72542293-editedThe National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) is working on a program to increase health literacy and wellness. With the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) it is important to support and capacity build people living with HIV (PLWH) to ensure that they are able to navigate the new health care system, are able to make informed decisions based on science and evidence and have the skills to connect to someone or an agency that can assist them. This webinar is focused on HIV Science to start the ball rolling on gaining a greater understanding of HIV, health and wellness.

This webinar will give an up to date look at what we know about the science of HIV in 2013. With current research and clinical trials we are gaining a stronger understanding of the reality of how HIV affects the body, what is being done in the field of HIV cure, and how close we may be to a vaccine.
