Steven-Emmanuel Martinez, 26, is an Afro-Latino Brooklyn native and self-described political news junkie. He graduated Hampshire College with Bachelors in Public Health, Columbia University with a Master of Arts in Health Education, and is currently working on a second Masters at Brown University’s School of Public Health. He currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island and is working on a multi-platform project that profiles HIV positive Black and Latino gay and bisexual men. While at USCA, he hopes to be able to find avenues to better capture the stories narratives of HIV positive folks.
