Narong is a first-generation queer Cambodian-American, graphic designer, and gamer. He was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts and currently works at The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth (BAGLY) as the Boston Programs Coordinator. His responsibilities include organizing the youth program known as QTYPAD (Queer and Trans* Youth of Pan Asian Descent), leading youth leadership retreats, and coordinating BAGLY’s Speakers Bureau. He previously worked at a community organization, educating LGBTQ Asian youth in HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, and has led workshops on the intersections of queer and Asian identities. He plans to utilize what he’s learned from USCA to continue working with and educating youth, and create innovative ways to build awareness in his home community.
