Jesus was born in Mexico, raised in Los Angeles, and currently works and lives in New York City. He oversees a sexual and behavioral health program in the prevention department at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, all while enrolled as an MPH, community health candidate in CUNY’s School of Public Health at Hunter College. His interest in public health are driven by social justice. Therefore, at this point his my life, he aims to expand his professional expertise to more effectively contribute to eradicating health inequities. That is to say, while he has focused his life’s purpose on social movements, he sees NMAC/USCA 2014 as a space from which he can further his professional development, critique, and growth as a public health provider.
