Micky self-identifies as “Queer, not bisexual. Southern, not country. Butchqueen, not masculine.” An aspiring reproductive justice organizer, Micky believes that embracing love in Southern tradition (culture building over food and drank) and mobilizing power in Black fem(inist) tradition are the paths to liberating our bodies, our communities, our futures. A Troublemaker at heart, USCA is a chance for Micky to sprinkle Southern Black magic on the prevention field while adapting strategies for the South; particularly, empowering marginalized people of color by addressing cultural competency & homeless linkage to care.
*Micky doesn’t like gender pronouns so just call Micky…Micky! (Its cuter anyway)
