Charlie Ferrusi is an impassioned activist for health equity, seeking to eliminate the health disparities faced by LGBTQ people and communities affected by HIV/AIDS. Charlie received his BS in School and Community Health Education from SUNY Brockport and his MPH in Community Health from New York University College of Global Public Health. Charlie is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), holds New York State Teaching Certification in Health Education, and serves on the steering committee for the LGBT HealthLink. He has been honored on the cover of POZ Magazine as part of the POZ 100, gave a TED Talk at TEDxHudson, and was interviewed for a World AIDS Day CNN segment on PrEP by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Charlie is currently employed at the New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, working primarily on the Ending the Epidemic (ETE) initiative.
